Trudy's Sweet-n-Sour Green Beans

This is one of my favorites. My Mom used to make this for the Holidays.

To increase in servings and 1/2 cup of vinegar and 1/2 cup sugar per every two cans of beans

Ingredients

6 can(s)
cut creen beans
1 lb
bacon
1 1/2 c
sugar
1 1/2 c
vinegar

Directions Step-By-Step

Drain green beans.

Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels, let cool and crumble.

Turn heat to medium. Add to bacon drippings 1 1/2 cups of vinegar and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Cook until sugar dissolves. Add greens beans and cover. Cook until beans start to wrinkle and have a brownish green color.Remove from stove and drain beans. Place beans in a serving dish and bacon, toss and serve.
