- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 6 slices white bread, cubed
1Puree tomatoes in blender or food processor and put in saucepan. Add sugar and salt. Boil for 5 minutes.
2Place bread cubes in 1 1/2 quart casserole and pour melted butter over top.
3Pour cooked tomato mixture over bread, covering all.
4Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 -35 minutes.
