This is from my cousin in Dallas and he says it's a serious favorite in his part of the country and a regular when the steaks are grilling. His wife, Monette, backs his up on this and says that they go through a lot of mushrooms in the summer. It's a knock off of the Texas Roadhouse Restaurants mushrooms.

Ingredients

MUSHROOM SEASONING:
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons black pepper
3 tablespoons onion salt
1/2 cup granulated garlic
TO COOK MUSHROOMS:
1/4 pound butter
2 1/2 pounds halved button mushrooms
3/4 cup water

How To Make texas favorite steak mushrooms

Step 1

Melt butter over high heat. Add mushrooms, stir to coat in the butter.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of mushroom seasoning, coat all mushrooms evenly. Cook over high heat until all water has cooked out of mushrooms (8-10 minutes).
Step 3

Reduce heat to medium, and sear mushrooms for about 7 more minutes. Add water and cook over high heat for about 1 minute.
Step 4

Serve over your favorite steak or as a side and enjoy!
