This is my mothers recipe, we have always been big on pickled okra...snack or with meal, it doesn't matter...I could eat a whole jar by my self...

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
fresh okra
3 small
dried red chile peppers
3 tsp
dried dill
3 tsp
cardamon seeds
1 c
vinegar
2 c
water
2 Tbsp
salt

Directions Step-By-Step

1. Divide the fresh okra evenly between 3 sterile (1 pint) jars. Place one dried chili, and one teaspoon of dill, and cardamon seed into each jar.

2. In a small saucepan, combine the water, vinegar and salt. Bring to a rolling boil. Pour over the ingredients in the jars, and seal in a hot water bath for 10 minutes. Refrigerate jars after opening.
