Slice squash, then place in large ziplock bag. Pour flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder in bag, and shake it up to coat the squash.
In frying pan, heat oil. Then put squash in pan and fry. Don't forget to shake off excess flour.
Fry til browned, then in the last few minutes sprinkle sugar on squash, then cook a little while longer and drain on paper towel!
