Fried radishes

I really enjoy these 0nce in awhile, you can add anything you want to them just as you would fried potatoes, garlic powder, onions, sprinkle with cheese. frying them takes the "heat" out of the radish. they don't get as crispy as potatoes do but are a good alternative and low in calories and carbs.

Ingredients

1 bunch
radishes sliced thin
1-2 Tbsp
butter or olive oil your choice

Directions

after cleaning slice each radish into thin slices, melt butter or heat olive oil in medium frying pan,
fry just as you would potatoes until slightly browned and fork tender

    I guess you can fry about anything. went to a resturant years ago and they served fried pickles.

    I have heard of fried pickles but they don't sound very good to me so haven't tried one :-)

    I was just going to post this recipe and saw that you posted it! I just made these and they are soooo good! I totally hate the taste of raw radishes...but when sauteed with butter, garlic, salt and pepper, they are transformed into something different! They taste like sauteed cauliflower but with the texture of pan fried potatoes! I love it! And I love the pretty mauve color too! Great post Gail! =) I'm adding my photo! =)
