For a long time,I didn't care for cooked cabbage,once I began eating it at Jamaican restaurants,I loved it, I took the addition of adding carrots from the Jamaican way and added green onions. Delicious!
for the two of us,I use 1 carrot,half a head of small cabbage and maybe 2 green onions. Use your own measurements.
melt butter and oil in a skillet until the butter is melted,ada carrot and small cabbage. Cover, saute,stirring occasionally to keep from burning until the cabbage is just ender,add green onions and continue to saute. If the cabbage starts to burn turn down the heat,I try not to add water. Season with salt and pepper and a pat of butter at the end of cooking. I think the carrot sweetens the cabbage and make it extra yummy!
