Jewel's Notes:

I HAVE A LITTLE VEGETABLE GARDEN AND BOTH MY SISTER IN LAWS HAVE LARGE VEGETABLE GARDENS. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE FRESH VEGETABLES. I HAVE BEEN FREEZING TOMATOES, PEPPERS, AND OKRA.
YESTERDAY WE HAD GRILLED PORK LOINS, FRIED OKRA, BLACKEYED PEAS, CREAMED CORN, CORNBREAD, AND FRESH MELON. FOR A SIDE DISH WE HAD SLICED ONION, SLICED TOMATOES, AND SLICED CUCUMBERS. WE ADD A LITTLE SOMETHING TO THE SIDE DISH...SO YUMMY !! ENJOY !!

Directions

1
PREPARE RAW VEGETABLES AND PLACE IN A SERVING BOWL.
2
POUR CHILLED ITALIAN SALAD DRESSING OVER VEGETABLES AND FLIP VEGETABLES TO COAT. LET SIT ABOUT 10 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING.
3
THIS IS A WONDERFUL SIDE DISH WITH COOKED VEGETABLES, CHILLI, SANDWICHES, STEWS, OR TO EAT ALONE.
A FANTASTIC SIDE DISH !!

Hey Freda, our JAP is really getting big and I am enjoying it. Hope you are doing well. My son and I have really worked hard in the yard, fence (a long one Staining), out buildings, all the flowers etc. We went rock hunting twice and he built a rock water fountain on the patio. Wish you could see it. Don't ever want to go through another tornado.. Blessings to you.

Hey Sweet Terrie, for those who have not tried this it is a great surprise how good it is. I do add a little pepper and salt. I am on a gluten free and no dairy products diet, doctor's orders. Also found out I'm allergic to red food dye. It makes me swell like I'm on steroids. I am feeling better though and can still eat those veges.

Having an abundance of garden goodies, I have been packing this for my husband's lunch every day no matter what else he gets along with it! LOL I add a sprinkle of Lawry's Seasoned Salt! Wonderful!
