broiled asparagus

I grew up eating asparagus. My Mom and I would go asparagus hunting (and if you've ever tried to find it half-wild, you'd know about hunting). So I was pleased to find, in a Real Simple magazine, this alternate way to prepare it -- I love the crispy asparagus heads! And, for the experienced griller, it would be easy to translate this into a grill recipe. . . Finally, I've gotten lazy, and I cheat, and just use cooking spray (I prefer Vegalene, but they do make olive oil sprays, too).
