fresh broccoli
1/3 c
butter or margarine (butters best)
1 Tbsp
brown sugar
3 Tbsp
soy sauce
2 tsp
white vinegar
1/4 tsp
pepper
1/4 tsp
minced garlic
1/3 c
salted roasted cashews

Directions Step-By-Step

Remove and discard broccoli leaves and tough ends of stalks; cut into spears. Cook broccoli in a small amount of boiling water 8 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain well. Arrange broccoli on a serving platter. Set aside and keep warm.

Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat; add brown sugar and next 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Stir in cashews. Pour sauce over broccoli and serve immediately. 4 servings
