These are delicious. Sweet with a bite to it. You hardly can tell you are eating asparagus. They are crispy and pickely. MMmmm

Ingredients

THIS MAKES 1 QUART JAR ADJUST INGREDIENTS FOR MORE JARS

1 lb
fresh asparagus cut into 2 inch pieces
1/2 c
pickling salt
2 1/2 c
apple cider vinegar
1 c
sugar
5 clove
garlic smashed
2 sprig(s)
fresh dill
1 tsp
mustard seed
1 tsp
pink peppercorns (optional)
1/2 tsp
red pepper flakes
1 small
onion thinly sliced

Step-By-Step

1Mix pickling salt, vinegar, and sugar together in pan on stove and bring to a boil and cook until sugar has dissolved.
2Pack all ingredients in jar and pour hot liquid over top.
3Seal and process in water bath for 15 minutes.
