I love fried okra and this is a great recipe. Nice and crispy!

Ingredients

1 bag(s)
(12 oz.) frozen okra, thawed
1 c
yellow corn meal
3/4 c
all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
ground pepper
4 large
eggs, thoroughly beaten
oil for deep frying

Step-By-Step

1Mix together flour and cornmeal. Season with salt and pepper to taste

2dredge okra in beaten eggs, then dredge in flour-cornmeal mixture.

3Place okra in deep hot oil and fry on medium-high heat until golden brown. Stir occasionally so all sides get browned.

4Drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle with just a small pinch more of salt.
