What a wonderful way to prepare a butternut squash. So easy too! My family absolutely loved this sweet & salty treat. The saltiness of the bacon pairs well with the sweetness of the brown sugar and does not overwhelm the flavor of the squash. Just awesome!

Ingredients

1 large
butternut squash (seeded and sliced)
6
strips of bacon (diced)
4 Tbsp
butter, cold
1 c
brown sugar
1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 dash(es)
salt

Step-By-Step

1Wash and deseed butternut squash(I usuaiily don't peel it) slice in large slices.

2Arrange bacon on squash.

3Mix brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt sprinkle over the bacon and squash.

4Dot with butter. Bake in 350 degree oven , about an hour or till squash is tender.
