Asparagus With Gruyère

In Switzerland, this simple but classic Swiss dish is called Asperges à la Gruyère. For frozen asparagus, use 2 (10-oz) packages and rinse under cool water to separate, then drain well.

This is actually a Swiss dish, not French. But there isn't a Swiss option, so I selected French which seemed the closest cuisine match for this recipe.
