Mom's Easy Baked Beans

My mother used to make these for all our summer get-togethers.

Ingredients

1 medium
onion, chopped
1 clove
garlic, minced
1/4 lb
bacon, cut into 1" pieces
16 oz
canned kidney beans
16 oz
frozen lima beans
16 oz
canned pork and beans
1 Tbsp
yellow mustard
3 Tbsp
brown sugar
3 Tbsp
vinegar - apple cider or red wine are best
3/4 c
ketchup

Step-By-Step

1Brown bacon in Dutch oven or saute pan, and remove. Saute onion and garlic in bacon grease and return bacon to pan. Pour off any excess grease.

2If using Dutch oven, add remaining ingredients to pan with bacon mixture and stir to combine.

3Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour

4If you are not using a Dutch oven, combine all ingredients in oven-proof 3 qt. casserole and bake as directed.
