Sweet Potato Casserole

My husband never liked Thanksgiving types of food until he tasted my sweet potato casserole. He couldn't get enough.
Can be made ahead and baked at the last minute.

Ingredients

3 c
mashed sweet potatoes (fresh or canned)
2 large
eggs
1/4 c
butter, softened
1/2 c
white sugar
1/2 c
milk
1 dash(es)
salt
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
brown sugar
1 c
chopped pecans (may use walnuts)
1/4 c
butter

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine sweet potatoes, eggs, sugar milk, salt, 1/4 cup butter and vanilla. Spread in greased shallow casserole dish. Combine flour, brown sugar, and remaining 1/4 cup butter to make crumbs. Sprinkle on potato mixture. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. (May make to this point and refrigerate). Bake at 350f 45 minutes. If made ahead, bake 1 hour. Serve hot.
