Ingredients

5 lb	yukon gold potatoes, boiled in the skins
4 slc	thin white american cheese (not the stuff wrapped in plastic sleeves, get it from the deli
4 slc	thin provolone cheese
	minced garlic
	garlic powder
	salt, pepper
1 stk	real salted butter (no margarine) Visit GoBoldWithButter.com
	milk
	you can use more or less cheese to taste

Deneece's Notes:
My children will not eat anyone elses mashed potatos! I never thought they were all that special until I had friends over for Easter and they all wanted to know how I made them so delish. I guess some people have never added cheese and garlic. So I decided to post them just because : ) I do have pics at home so I will post when I am there

Directions

Put potatoes (skins on)in large bowl, add butter in dabs over potatoes. Beat on medium till blended.

Add cheeses and garlic and mix.

Add all seasonings and mix, tasting till its salted and seasoned to your taste.

Add just enough milk to make potatoes the consistancy you prefer. (we actually like ours a bit lumpy)

these look great...my Mom said those 'lumpy' mashed taters had their 'bones' left in..so we knew they were the real deal and not those sissified powdered-up pretend ones from a box...keep the 'bones' ...they make 'em great...:)

lol colleen i agree! my family like ours lumpy and my kids wont eat mashed potatoes out since they are usually boxed. once i tried using the mashed that came in the plastic containers you microwave, added garlic and cheese, served em up and noone knew they werent mine till they tasted them. all the food disappeared but the potatoes were left on the plates. my daughters exact words were "nice try mom, they werent yours, please dont ever do that again!" i just laughed..its nice to know they appreciate the time you put into cooking!
