Ingredients For horseradish & sour cream mashed taters

  • 4 lb
    potatoes, golden
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 c
    sour cream
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 stick
    butter, unsalted
  • 5 Tbsp
    horseradish
  • 2 Tbsp
    cooking water
  • chives, dried (for garnish)

How To Make horseradish & sour cream mashed taters

    Put the potatoes into a large pot, add the bay leaves, 2 Tbsp. salt & cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat & cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.

    Remove the bay leaves & drain the water from the potatoes, reserving 2 Tbsp. cooking water.

    Smash potatoes in a large mixing bowl. Add the sour cream, cream cheese, butter, horseradish & season well with salt & pepper. Garnish with chopped fresh chives.
