I grew up eating these potatoes. My Dad made them all the time. Now we make them. We put them on a charcoal pit with wood so they have a smokey flavor. They can be done on a gas grill or even over an open fire.

Ingredients

5-6
potatoes..peeled and cubed
2 medium
onions..peeled and cubed
1 stick
butter..sliced
salt to taste
pepper to taste
garlic powder..just a littel..to taste

Step-By-Step

1Make a pouch with foil..arrange cubed potatoes and onions.place slices butter ontop..salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.
2Place on pit with whatever meat you are cooking. Usually takes about an hour depending on the temp of the pit.
