Ingredients

4 large
baking potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1/4 c
melted butter
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp
crushed garlic
8 slice
bacon cooked and crumbled
8 oz
shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c
chopped green onions
sour cream

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

Coat both sides of potato slices with butter,
Add salt, pepper and garlic;

Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned on both sides, turning once (I forgot to turn them, they were fine).
2
When potatoes are ready, top with bacon, cheese, and green onion

Continue baking until the cheese has melted (I just turned the oven off and let the heat melt it all).
3
Serve with sour cream if desired.

Tracy, you won me over with your two tips. You forgot to turn the potatoes and you shut the oven off and let the heat do all the work. Not to mention that the spuds look darned good too. Thanks for sharing.
