Simply, A Great Macaroni and Cheese

Saw this in a local newspaper, which was having a contest for 'best mac and cheese' recipes. This one looked so simple that I could not believe it would be any good....was I wrong! The original was topped with cooked sausage links, but this is a great stand-alone dish.

Ingredients

3 Tbsp
butter, melted
2 c
uncooked macaroni
4 c
whole milk
8 oz
extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper

Step-By-Step

1Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

2In the oven, in a large casserole dish, melt the butter.

3Remove, coat the uncooked macaroni with the butter, adding salt and pepper.

4Add milk and cheese. Mix.

5Bake 45-50 minutes.
