German Spaetzles

if there are any leftovers, this is awesome fried in a little bit of butter and eaten with eggs for breakfast the next morning!

this is my mom's German mother's recipe. Its always a hit with us! Can be easily doubled or tripled for leftovers!

Method:

Stove Top

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
salt
2
eggs
1/2 c
milk
1/2 c
water

Directions Step-By-Step

bring a pot of water with a pinch of salt and a little bit of oil to a boil

put a little bit of the spaetzle dough into a spaetzle maker or a large holed seive or metal grater and press the dough through to drop into the boiling water

boil for about 5-8 minutes

use a slotted spoon and scoop the cooked spaetzles out of the water and into a colander to drain

once drained, place into a bowl and toss with some butter
