Yam Casserole

We've been making this recipe in our family for over 40 years. All the children in the family wouldn't eat sweet potatoes, so we called it yam casserole instead and they all ate it and loved it!!! They are adults now with their own families!!

Ingredients

2 c
yams, mashed ( or can use canned yams-30 oz)
1/4 c
sugar, more or less to taste
2
eggs, beaten
1/2 c
milk
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
salt
3/4 stick
butter, melted

TOPPING

3/4 stick
butter, melted
1/2 c
chopped pecans
3/4 c
corn flakes, crushed
1/2 c
brown sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix first 8 ingredients together well, bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until set. Take out of oven and spread topping on top. Bake 10 minutes more.
