This is great take-a-long dish. It's a rich and wonderful side dish. I've made this for as long as I can remember. I used to take to work luncheons at AT&T, and it's a real man-pleaser.

Ingredients

1/2 lb
bacon fried crisp and crumbled
1/2 lb
lean ground beef browned
1/4 c
diced onion
1/2 c
catsup
1 tsp
salt
1/2 c
dark brown sugar
1 tsp
dry mustard
1 can(s)
green lima beans
1 can(s)
dark red kidney beans
1 can(s)
baked beans (your favorite..i used bush's original)

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Fry bacon, drain, crumble and set aside. Drain all but about a tablespoon of the bacon fat, then brown the ground beef with onions.
2
Put all ingredients in a bean pot if you have one, or a ceramic baking dish and mix well. Bake 350 for 45 minutes.

NOTE: If I don't double, I use a large or 2 small cans of baked beans and it goes a little farther.
