Pork Neck & Sauerkraut

Neck bones gives sauerkraut a wonderful flavor.

Ingredients

2 lb
pork neck bones
1 lg jar(s)
sauerkraut -- drained
1 small
onion -- diced
to taste
salt & pepper

Directions Step-By-Step

Boil the neck bones & onions till the meat is falling off the bones.

Save the broth and pick the meat from the bones then return to the broth.

Add the jar of sauerkraut (drained) to the meat.

Let it simmer for 15 to 20 mins.

Hi Robert, How have you been? Pork and Sauerkraut have to be one of my favorite dishes. My Hungarian grandmother used to make it all the time. Besides being delicious it is a wonderful economical dish. I like to add large quarted potatoes and a small can of tomato sauce to the meat with it broth and kraut and slow cook. It is the best and a real comfort food. Thanks for sharing. LOL
