MOM’S BEST EVER 5 BEAN CASSEROLE

My Mom made these beans since the 1970s. They are great for BBQs, and picnics, or any large gathering. I am not sure where she got the recipe, but these beans are addictive…once you have a bite you can’t stop!

Ingredients

1/2 lb
bacon
1
chopped onion
1 tsp
dry mustard
1/3 c
cider vinegar
1-15 oz
can butter beans
1-15 oz
can green beans
1-15 oz
can kidney beans
1-15 oz
garbanzo beans
1-28 oz
can baked beans
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven 350 degrees

2Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.

3Sauté onion in bacon fat; add the brown sugar, mustard, and vinegar.

4Cook on low for 10 minutes.

5In a large baking dish or roasting pan, combine butter beans, green beans, kidney beans, garbanzo beans and baked beans.

6Add bacon mixture

7Mix well, and bake covered for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer.

8Enjoy!
