1Combine first three ingredients. Add a sufficient amount of milk to make dough easy to handle. The dough should be a little more moist than biscuit dough.
2Flour hands and form dumplings 5-6, and put on top of meat or chicken. Do not put in liquid, but on top of meat, so they will steam.
3Cover kettle and let boil for 20 min. without opening the kettle.
4Makes 5-6 dumplings, I'd double it if I were you, leftovers can be sliced and fried in butter, topped with leftover gravy. Perfect for chicken and dumplings.
