Add grits slowly, stir constantly as not to clump or stick.
Reduce the heat to low; cover and cook for 20-25 minutes till desired consistency. Stir every 3-4 min so not to stick.
When cooked to desired creaminess; add the cream cheese and butter, stir until well blended.
Now add the cheese, and stir until completely melted and blended.
These are so creamy and cheesy!..ENJOY
My kids like the leftovers for breakfast w/ bacon crumbled in. Add a little water as these will be thick, heat in a saucepan on low or in the microwave for approx. 1 min, stir and check temp, may need to add a few more seconds.
