Stove Top

Ingredients

1 1/3 c
quick cooking grits
5 1/3 c
water
1 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
butter
4 oz
cream cheese, cubed
6 oz
sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Step-By-Step

1Get your ingredients together
2On med-high heat; bring water and salt to a boil
3Add grits slowly, stir constantly as not to clump or stick.

Reduce the heat to low; cover and cook for 20-25 minutes till desired consistency. Stir every 3-4 min so not to stick.
4When cooked to desired creaminess; add the cream cheese and butter, stir until well blended.
5Now add the cheese, and stir until completely melted and blended.
6These are so creamy and cheesy!..ENJOY

My kids like the leftovers for breakfast w/ bacon crumbled in. Add a little water as these will be thick, heat in a saucepan on low or in the microwave for approx. 1 min, stir and check temp, may need to add a few more seconds.
