I've been canning these pickles for close to 30 years - they are a family favorite. Received the recipe from my mother in law.

I generally double the recipe.

Ingredients

cucumbers, thinly sliced

medium onion, sliced
1 c
vinegar
1 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
coarse salt
1 tsp
mustard seed
1/2 tsp
celery seed
1/4 tsp
turmeric

Directions Step-By-Step

In large saucepan, mix together cucumber, and onion; pour in spices. Stir in vinegar.

Bring to full boil. Pack in sterilized jars, leaving 1/2" head space and seal.

Process 10 minutes – 2 pints
