The way you can decide on how much dressing you need; one loam of breast makes a cake pan full - a good bowl and a half possible, so maybe a 10 lb turkey would only need one. per Carol Woodson

Ingredients

bread, two loaves
1 stick
margarine/butter
2-3 stick
celery
2 c
water
3 tsp
salt
3 tsp
sage, dried
4
apples (optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

1
breast should be dried and cubed.
2
in skillet, melt oleo/butter, dice in celery, onion. Saute till tender. Add water to this and heat to boiling.
3
pour over bread which you have sprinkled with salt and sage. Add apples if desired. If it seems a little dry, add a little more water. You want it dampened real well but not soggy.
4
Stuff in turkey, but not too tight. Pack extra dressing at either end around neck, liver and gizzard.
