Ingredients

  • 4 large Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup rum
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 - 1 cups sugar, to taste (depends how tart those apples are)
  • 2 cups water

How To Make rum applesauce

  • Step 1
    Peel & core apples & cut into chunks & place in large saucepan. Add water (just enough to cover apples), rum, cinnamon & sugar. Boil until soft, about 1/2 hour.
  • Step 2
    Place in food processor & pulse untl smooth.
  • Step 3
    Serve warm or cold. Great over ice cream!
