Spaghetti Sauce

This is a spaghetti sauce I've come up with by combing several recipes. This makes a lot of sauce. I serve it over spaghetti and with meatballs. The meatball recipe is also on this website.

1 lb
lean ground beef
1 lb
ground sage sausage (i use jimmy dean)
2 tsp
dried minced garlic
2 tsp
dried onion
2 can(s)
petite diced tomatoes (14 oz each)
2 can(s)
tomato sauce (14 oz each)
1 can(s)
tomato paste (small can)
3 Tbsp
1 tsp
kosher salt
1 Tbsp
dried oregano
1 Tbsp
dried basil
2 Tbsp
dried parsley
1 pkg
zesty spaghetti seasoning (i use mccormick's)
2 can(s)
water (use a tomato sauce can)

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown meat with garlic and onion seasonings.

Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water. Stir together.

Add sugar and remaining seasonings. Stir together.

Bring sauce to a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer.

Simmer for at least 4 hours, stirring occasionally. If sauce gets too thick, add additional water or tomato sauce.
