This sweet-tart sauce packs a real punch. If you want it toned down a bit, use a milder chile

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 12 - mangoes- (coarsely chopped)
  • 4 large spanish onions- (finely chopped)
  • 6 - habanero chiles- (minced)
  • 12 cloves garlic, (finely chopped)
  • 6 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • - salt

How To Make mango-habanero sauce

  • Step 1
    Reduce heat to medium and stir in vinegar, brown sugar, and ginger. Add salt to taste. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat and add sauce to blender or food processor. Pulse for a few minutes until sauce has thinned out.
