J-Bar-H Fajita Seasoning

From a Texas chuckwagon chef, an awesome fajita seasoning mix. He rubs this liberally on chicken breasts, beef skirts, shrimp or portobellos - and lets them marinate in it for about an hour or so before grilling.

Although I posted the recipe in "teaspoons", chef John Hausen writes his spice recipes in “parts,” not specific measures. This makes it easy to knock out a batch, whether it is one cup or 5 gallons, and it will come out perfect every time. He says "Just grab something to measure with and follow the recipe!"

3 tsp
sweet paprika
3 tsp
chili powder
3 tsp
coarse black pepper
2 tsp
granulated garlic
2 tsp
cumin
2 tsp
sugar
1 tsp
smoked paprika
1 tsp
onion powder
1 tsp
dried cilantro
1/4 tsp
allspice

Directions Step-By-Step

Dump in an appropriately sized bowl and mix with whisk for 4 minutes. Store in airtight container in a cool dark place.
