Praline Sauce

Marsha's Story

A great gift, wonderful over ice cream, and many other desserts. You may stay awake at night thinking of things to top with this wonderful sauce. We have an abundance of pecans and I am always looking for ways to use them.


2 c
cane syrup
1/2 c
boiling water
1/3 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c
coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; stirring and allow to boil for about 30 seconds.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Cool, place in jars and refrigerate. Makes 3 generous cups.

Okay, I found Delta cane syrup, but it had corn syrup in so I wasn't sure. I'm diabetic so it will be hard for me to not have any.

Alga is the brand that I use. Here in Alabama it is just called table syrup. Hope that helps.
