| 1/2 c | boiling water |
| 1/3 c | brown sugar, firmly packed |
| 1 c | coarsely chopped pecans |
| 1/2 tsp | pure vanilla extract |

Directions
Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; stirring and allow to boil for about 30 seconds.Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Cool, place in jars and refrigerate. Makes 3 generous cups.
