Homemade Shake 'n Bake Mix

My son loved Shake 'n Bake when he was a kid. I wouldn't buy it, but I did make a knock off and it is as good or better than the original plus I actually know what is in the mix.

Ingredients

4 c
bread crumbs, dry
3/4 c
non-fat dry milk
2 tsp
kosher salt
1 Tbsp
paprika, sweet mild
2 tsp
celery seed
1 tsp
freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp
garlic powder with parsley
1 Tbsp
onion flakes, dehydrated
pinch
oregano, dried
pinch
basil, dried
1 tsp
parsley flakes
1/2 tsp
dry mustard, i prefer coleman's

Directions

Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

I usually give the whole mix a twirl or two in my food processor to make everything blend really well.

TO USE:
Place amount needed into a plastic bag, add chicken or pork and shake to coat. Proceed with your desired recipe.

    Thanks it is from the internet, but looks just like my cat Paddington who is interested in all things food as you can tell from the size of him. We call him Dinky Boy. Ha, ha.

    This will be a money saver for sure! My men love shake and bake. I too have a hard time buying it! lol This sounds so much better! I will make it and not tell them. :)
