Easy Holiday Cranberry Sauce

I vowed that I would never use canned cranberry sauce again, and since this recipe was created, I have been able to keep that promise!

Ingredients

4 c
fresh berries
1 1/2 c
water

whole cloves
5
whole allspice berries
3
cinnamon sticks
2 c
sugar

Step-By-Step

1Place fresh cranberries and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

2Wrap cinnamon sticks, allspice berries and cloves in a spice bag and place in the saucepan.

3Cook until the cranberries begin to burst, about 10 minutes.

4Stir in sugar and reduce heat to low. Continue cooking until sugar has dissolved.

5Remove from heat and allow to cool. Discard spice bag. Chill for 8 hours or overnight before serving.
