BARBECUE SEASONING.

cup chili powder
1/4
cup hickory salt

tablespoons onion powder

tablespoons cumin

tablespoon paprika
1
tablespoon garlic powder
1
tablespoon brown sugar
1
teaspoon cayenne
1/2
teaspoon dry mustard
1/2
teaspoon dry lemon peel, crushed to powder

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine all ingredients. Rub onto chicken, steaks, or hamburgers before grilling. Store in a glass jar with a tight lid. Makes 1 1/2 cups

Adding zest:: Last nite I went to a Christmas receipe Bazzar & the host jogged our memory..."Don't throw away orange or lemon peels, put them in a ziploc frezzer bag.. throw them in the frezzer & always have them on hand for the receipes that calls for the zest...Thought that was a good tip to share from her mouth to mine to yours.....Also she said you could add a marshmellow to brown sugar to soften it...
