Orange cranberry sauce

No one in my family likes cranberry sauce from a can, so it was time I made something that would be eaten. My sister-in-law gave this her stamp of approval. Pretty tasty!

Ingredients

1
bag of fresh cranberries
1 1/2 c
sugar
1 c
water
1/3 c
sweet orange marmelade
1 can(s)
mandarin oranges

Directions Step-By-Step

put everything except mandarin oranges in heavy saucepan and cook uncovered on slow simmer for about 30 -40 minutes, stirring frequently

Drain oranges, break them up slightly then add and continue cooking about 20 minutes more.

When this cools it will jell nicely. I use the leftovers for cranberry fluff dessert that is delicious.
