Rose's Story

My grand children love to help make this jelly :-)

my online cookbook:

1 pkg
unsweetened kool-aid, any flavor
1 pkg
sure-jell pectin
3 c
granulated sugar
3 c

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix water, Sure-Jell, and Kool-aid together in a large pot. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Stir and bring to a full rolling boil that can not be stirred down. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Quickly skim off foam with a large metal spoon. Pour into jelly jars and seal.
Make sure your jars seal properly.
Our favorite is Mango-Pineapple. I use mango Kool-aid and 1 small flat can of crushed pineapple, drained.

Patsy, I'm sure that would work.
The last time the grands and I made it we used grape kool-aid. They loved it, but I don't like anything grape flavored.
My favorite is the mango kool-aid with a small can of crushed pineapple (drained). It makes it kinda like preserves or jam.
Let me know what you use and how it turns out :-)

Wonder if you can substitute the water for a juice flavor to match the jello flavor?
