Another great fall recipe that can be enjoyed through the holidays!

Ingredients

2 lb
washed, cut or whole, figs
1 lb
sugar
juice of 1 lemon
rind of 1 lemon

Directions

combine ingredients & let mixture boil as hard as it will.

After preserves begin to thicken, test by placing a small amount in the freezer. If syrup jells quickly, preserves are done.

Put preserves in hot sterilized jars & seal. Will make about 3 pints.
