Gregory's Story

I love Dr Pepper so I use it, but you can make this with any drink flavor.


3 1/2 c
2 1/4 c
dr pepper ( or drink of choice )
1/4 c
lemon juice
3 oz
liquid pectin
a few drops of red food color (optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine sugar, Dr. Pepper & lemon juice in a large saucepan. Add food color if desired and mix well.
Place over high heat* and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Stir in liquid pectin at once. Bring to a full rolling boil. Boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; skim off foam with a metal spoon.

Pour quickly into hot sterilized pint size jars and seal. Refrigerate.
