Easy "Salisbury Steaks" and Gravy

This gravy is easy to make (and is good with fried or mashed potatoes as well).

Ingredients

1 pkg
veggie burgers

GRAVY

2 Tbsp
oil
1 medium
onion, sliced, rings separated
8 oz
mushrooms, sliced
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour
2 c
water
2 tsp
beef base (i use a "no beef" beef base)
salt and pepper to taste

Step-By-Step

1Mix together water and beef base and set aside.
2Place oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and saute until soft.
3Add mushrooms and saute about 5 minutes.
4Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly add water/beef mixture, salt and pepper; bring to a boil and thicken.
5Add veggies burgers, reduce heat and simmer until burgers are heated through, about 5 minutes.
