Spiced Buttered Pineapple Syrup - Pancakes & more

This delightful syrup can be use in a wide variety of ways, from pancakes to pork chops to ice cream.

I also included the option of adding Dark Spiced Rum.

I recommend to garnish with additional cubed fresh pineapple!

Ingredients

1 stick
butter
1 c
dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp
dark molasses
1 Tbsp
vanilla
1 tsp
allspice
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
ginger
1/4-1/2
fresh pineapple, cubed

Step-By-Step

1Place all the ingredients in a saucepan. Optionally add two tablespoons of dark spiced rum. Cook on high for 1 minute, then lower heat to low.
2Stirring occasionally, cook for 10 minutes.
3Pour into a bowl and puree with an immersion blender. Or, use a food processor or blender.
4Return to saucepan and cook for an additional 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5Serve warm.
