pitted royal ann cherries in heavy syrup
cornstarch - the tablespoon should be heaping
1Drain syrup off the cherries directly into a small saucepan, reserving the cherries for later.
2Add all ingredients, except cherries, to the syrup, stirring over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
3Add cherries and heat through and serve over meat of your choice.
