IF YOU LIVE IN THE NORTHWEST, YOU'RE PROBABLY FAMILIAR WITH HUCKLEBERRIES ALREADY. IF NOT, YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU HAVE TASTED THESE WONDERFUL BERRIES. THIS SAUCE IS SO EASY TO MAKE.

PUT OVER ICE CREAM, ANGELFOOD CAKE, CHEESECAKE ETC.

Ingredients

1/2 c
sugar
2 Tbsp
cornstarch
1 pinch
salt
1/2 c
butter, room temperature
2 c
huckleberries
1/2 Tbsp
butter, room temperature

Step-By-Step

1PUT CORNSTARCH & SALT IN SMALL SAUCE PAN. ADD WATER + 1 CUP HUCKLEBERRIES. STIR & COOK UNTIL IT THICKENS.
2TAKE OFF HEAT AND ADD 1 CUP HUCKLEBERRIES AND BUTTER. MIX CAREFULLY AND LET COOK.
