Ranchero Layer Dip

Melissa Snow

One neighbor refers to this dip as the "everything but the kitchen sink dip." You can substitute regular flavor bean dip for the jalapeno flavor bean dip if you cannot find it in the store. You can also substitute shredded cheddar for the jalapeno jack cheese if needed.

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
This is a new twist on a layered taco dip. The jalapeno bean dip on the bottom is a good choice, but what makes this really different is the sour cream layer. The sour cream is mixed with Miracle Whip and then taco seasoning adds great balance to the dip. There is a lot of flavor in each layer!

1 can(s)
10 oz jalapeno flavored bean dip
1/2 c
sour cream
1/3 c
Miracle Whip dressing
1/2 pkg
taco seasoning mix
1 can(s)
4 oz chopped green chilies
1 pkg
guacamole (I use Wholly Guacamole - found in the salad section)
1 c
salsa (I use Roja's restaurant style)
8 oz
block, pepper jack cheese, shredded (I use Tillamook brand)
1 c
green onions; sliced
1 c
tomatoes; chopped
1 can(s)
6 oz sliced black olives

Directions Step-By-Step

On a large platter, thinly spread the bean dip. In a small bowl combine the sour cream, Miracle Whip, and taco seasoning mix. Spread over bean dip.
Sprinkle chilies over the top of bean dip. Spread avocado dip over chilies. Spread salsa over avocado dip. Sprinkle with cheese, green onions, tomatoes, and black olives.
Serve with tortilla chips!
