Irisa's Story

The great thing about making BBQ sauces or marinades is anything goes.

Long gone are the days where you are stuck with only what you could find on the shelves.

What's the worse thing that can happen? It does not turn out exactly as planned!

I have fun when creating my recipes and this is just another one of them.

I did a whole chicken and will post how delicious the sauce makes it look....and the taste was super!

1 – 18 ounce bottle bbq sauce just a plain kind
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup ketchup
3/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
¼ cup orange marmalade
¼ cup apricot marmalade
¼ cup plum jam
1 teaspoon minced garlic
chipotle peppers to taste “ i used 2 “ chopped
1 teaspoon adobo sauce from the caned chipotles
2 tablespoons grille seasoning mccormick has some good ones

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook till hot and thick, cool and process in food processor or blender to get a smooth consistency. Or you can leave it as it is…I have done it both ways. And like it either way.
This poor ol' chicken needs some lovin' in the way of a delicious BBQ sauce!
