Torrey's Story

Ok, so who DOESN'T love Olive Garden's Alfredo sauce? I know I LOVE this stuff. It's a versatile and decadent sauce for the base of MANY pasta dishes. It's also good just to dip hot breadsticks into. Man, I'm hungry now.

Ingredients

1
pint heavy cream
1/2
cup (1 stick) butter
2 Tbsp
( 1 oz) cream cheese
3/4
cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp
garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Combine cream, butter, and cream cheese in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until all ingredients are melted and blended. Stir it pretty much constantly,
2
Add parmesan cheese and garlic, stir to incorporate.
3
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 min. stirring to prevent sticking on bottom.
4
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5
Serve over pasta or as a dipping sauce for breadsticks.
