Carol's StoryBaked Taco Dip: has been a big hit with our family for years. I will prepare this for dinner on the nights we have make your own nachos. Also works well for a taco salad.
taco seasoning mix
favorite picante sauce
chopped green onion
grated cheddar cheese
serve with favorite tortilla chips
can top dip with fresh tomatoes, black olives or sour cream
1Brown ground beef, drain off fat. Add 1 pkg. of taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup of water. Cook for 15 minutes until water cooks off.
2Put seasoned ground beef into a casserole dish and spoon at least a cup of picante sauce over the beef. Top the picante sauce with the chopped green onions. Then top with the grated cheddar cheese.
3Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
4Serve baked taco dip with favorite tortilla chips. Chopped fresh tomatoes, black olives and sour cream make great toppings for dip.
